MUSIC

Thani has been writing music for as long as they can remember and is currently working on their first album!  They draw musical inspiration from Joni Mitchell, Anaïs Mitchell, Alanis Morissette, Hayley Williams, and other folk and rock artists.

Thani began composing for musical theatre while studying at the University of Michigan and graduated with a Minor in Musical Theatre Composition under the guidance of Prof. Lynne Shankel.   They hope to use their unique voice as a queer, trans, biracial writer to create space in musical theatre for intersectional identities and underrepresented stories.

THE LAUGH OF THE MEDUSA

THE LAUGH OF THE MEDUSA is a trans coming of age story about a mythological figure and a young writer who meet through the pages of a feminist essay.  With the power of writing, they change each other’s lives and stories forever.

UPCOMING: THE LAUGH OF THE MEDUSA will premiere in a one-night-only performance at the Arthur Miller Theatre in Ann Arbor, Michigan.  Take a listen to some sneak peeks from the show below and purchase your tickets HERE!
